Introduction to PMC Class Description
This is a four-week course intended to introduce the student to the basic properties and forms of Precious Metal Clay (PMC) and its uses as related to jewelry design. By the end of the course, the student should have between three to five completed projects, which may include a pendant, a charm or pendant created from a mold, a pair of earrings and a hollow form object (i.e. a small box or aroma therapy pendant).
Basic topics to be covered include but are not limited to:
The four basic forms of PMC and their use Most commonly used tools in working with the clay Adding texture and using stamps Basic finishing techniques in preparation for firing The three most common methods of firing a piece Final finishing including satin finished and high shine Creating an hollow form object Creating a mold for use with PMC

Second Level Precious Metal Clay Course
This is also a four-week course intended to introduce the student to more complicated techniques in Precious Metal Clay. By the end of the course, the student should have between three to five additional completed projects, which may include a ring, a two sided large hollow bead, a dichroic cabochon set in metal clay and an enameled piece of their own design.
Beading Basics
Beading Basics Party Available Create a beautiful bracelet and pair of earrings while learning basic beading skills. Student will learn terms and tools used in beading and gain skills to design and construct their own jewelry creations at home. Fee $35 includes all supplies needed.
